That's why I don't like anime in general.

Either inconsistent plot, filler, or ridiculous ecchi.


In recent years, only Nichijou (especially), One Punch Man and Pop Team Epic have been enjoyable at all to me. Notice how they dont have near any of the issues you mentioned, especially the first one I mentionned.

Regardless, I like adult comedy cartoons like Robot Chicken and Aqua Teen Hunger Force a lot better (except Nichijou, which I enjoy just as much)...

SAO is pretty good. SAO2 is a bit weird.
No idea if the steam games are anything like the anime. (Wakfu the game certainly was NOT and I am disappointed.)

Well I mean it's Japan, the country that runs on sex attracted stuff. You can't really expect Japan to really put any thoughts on the plot, I mean they even have a comedy anime based on a female lolicon being in love with a literal kid and a manga about a little girl wanna get into a relationship with a 39 years old female. And there will be people with "ur taste sucks that's why" while not even understanding what the comment they are answering to is talking about. If u want good plot, just go read visual novels or novels or some games. There's no point searching for good plot in anime

The only good thing about japanese manga and anime authors are their imaginative thinking tbh. But other than that, there's nothing. Their plot is literally worse than a 15 year old first attempt on writing a plot for a novel or a game

I mean ye, it's actually notorious how everyone on the internet just praise how good anime is, while it's as clear as crystal how Japan can't even create a decent plot but only know how to add in fanservice to attract the 14 years old to nut on their product

It's depressing, since OP already gives impression that's they will never be satisfied and never will be happy. Not that I'm psychoanalysing, but... the amount of rant threads is increasing again.
Anyway... I'm trying not to judge, different shows, different fanbase. Can't please them all. Personally I like my shows with "ham and cheese".
