What do you think about the Resident Evil 8 footage?

I'm liking Resident Evil's unique take on the vampires and werewolves trope, it was only a matter of time before they made a game centered around these iconic monsters. I also like that the gameplay seems reminiscent of Resident Evil 4.

im a big fan of the series, but i heard this new village will be a open world? i dont think i like this idea if its gonna have a quest system if its like dead island for example i think the game will be ruined. res evil series doesn't really fit this.

go back to the original concept - that was a winning formula. run and gun is not survival horror. 7 made a very interesting move to first person and after playing it i can respect and appreciate that. this one is number 8 remember - how long can originality be maintained...? very hard to please the majority now i would argue.

the remakes have been a breath of fresh air for sure - taking what made 2 and 3 great and spicing them up for the modern gamers with graphics and faster pace.

time to do that formula for 1 i reckon.

Wouldn’t make any different from its previous games. It’s just as linear and backtracking as usual. Formulated as GOW and Metro Exodus as an example.
