Yep, he did grow significantly between movies. Skull Island took place in the 70s and GVK takes place in modern time.

Kong is no longer just Monke. He is now the Chad Ape.

Like many other "monsters" in "entertainment" he has changed size plenty of times and even looked alot different, depending on whom made the movie etc..even 25 years ago, he had already changed several times

Nope. His name means gorilla-whale. So ape versus ape whale. Don't ask me why. And big G is the King of the Monsters. He killed the previous, King Ghidorah. Rodan fell in with his king almost immediately. And after Nuclear Big G and mothrs fused and killd him, the other monsters showed up tp pay tribute.

It's going to be King vs King, until that pest mecha G shows up. One of the plot theories is Kong annihilating The other Titans before the two fight.

That was Toho godzilla
This movie takes place in another universe, called Monsterverse.
It's a different Godzilla, with different powers.

The scenarists just can not write brave enough these days and the end kinda known before film starts. A scenario is the most important thing in a monster film, coming just after film effects.

true, but noone on either Team G or Team K wants to see either of the monsters die. so that's an impossible scenario.
