Is it embarrassing to still be a virgin?

I recently turned 16 and since some of my friends were bragging about losing their virginity I felt peer pressured to lose mine too so I did. I dont regret it at all but when does someone reach a certain age where it becomes embarrassing to be a virgin?

By the way i worded it it sounds like i just met up with some guy, but i should mention we have been dating for a few months, i just felt peer pressured to do it earlier than i wouldve liked to

It's not embarrassing if you're around the right people. I'm glad you don't regret it, but I definitely think you should consider who your friends are to you. If you felt peer pressured at all, maybe you should surround yourself with some other kinds of people for awhile. Not saying you have to leave all your current friends completely of course, but some more accepting and supportive connections in the long run might be safer. It's always a shame to see someone peer pressured, but at least this wasn't harmful (I hope lol). It could have been worse, and that's why I'd recommend you stay careful for future things you might feel like you "have" to do.

Only teens and idiots brag about having sex. For most people, sex isn't that mindblowing experience. If you were insecure little kid inside before sex, you will be insecure little kid inside after having sex.

Being virgin in 30's and up is not embarrassing, but more like sad that you havent experienced intimacy, and likely are a loner... Loner with a bone... Lol. Anyway, no, its never embarrassing.
