Luigi is not dead, nor alive. Every videogame character exists in a permanent hell-state of duality being in the purgatory of a powered off system, or becoming a death-prone puppet steered into peril after peril. Both existing simultaneously like schrödinger's cat in the many instances of game-play or lack thereof featuring the green Mario brother.
