Has games become trash nowadays
I cant seem to find anything i like and when i try new single player games out i get bored after a few hours and stop playing. I really like multiplayer games but they are all filled with ♥♥♥♥ like league of legends. cod multiplayer is getting boring now, warzone is ♥♥♥♥ and i cba to download 300gb for one crappy battle royale. Dota 2 takes literal eons to learn the game. Overwatch is getting boring ive played too much of it. Is there any good multiplayer games anymore? or like am i lost? if i am lost tell me a good game to play or shut up.

No, I'd argue they've never been better.
It's not that the games are 'bad' it's that they're full of pay walls and micro transactions. Everything is as profit driven as possible, with some going as far as to put in minimal development and releasing at a full price.
Not as trash as movies.
Never been better time to be a gamer than currently.

No games have always been like this. It's just been some selected islands of AAA and Indie games floating on a sea of mediocrity.

Wow. That's quite poetic.
I have my moments.
Games are getting better to me but it's knowing what to try out. I was in the similar situation as OP; played Overwatch, CoD and got bored but I turned to stealth games to mix the gameplay (Ghost Recon, Watch Dogs, Hitman).
You should be happy that you had so many good games you enjoyed. For me I haven't enjoyed a multiplayer game since Diablo 2 or something close to that, I stay far, far away from the games you seemed to like. :P

EDIT: It also seems like you're the type of person most AAA companies are making games for so you'll probably not be without something great to play for long! :D

Nope. Games keep getting better and better.
Depends, there is always a few gems under all the dirt. Just have to keep digging, and it's okay to get bored of a game and want something new.

Yes and no.
Play indie titles. Most AAA games are overpriced and unfinished.

My thoughts exactly.

You either wait three - six months for a game to get patched and be remotely playable OR you settle for a AA or indie game at a fraction of the price. Vote with your money.

Though, in all fairness, indies copy each other incessantly and jump on the laziest trends too. Oh, another walking sim! The fiftieth retro boomer shooter this year ... wow, how do they do come up with these wild new ideas!

You say this as if AAA games don't do the same. If you took a shot for every new game that was open world, a shooter, and/or featured crafting mechanics, you'd be in the hospital with alcohol poisoning by the hour.

Many games across all levels of the industry tend to just do what has already been done, and don't offer anything that helps it to stand out from the crowd. That's why I don't have a favorite genre, but instead a list of certain qualities and design philosophies that most of the games I've loved share.
Just like every year since they were created, there are good and bad games. For example, I absolutely love Planet Zoo, that's a modern game and I couldn't care less about the Last of Us 2
I am having a blast with AAA, but I am behind on the newer games. I picked up Death Stranding this month the newest game I got and that was released in Nov 2019. Unless AAA games went to total crap in 2020 then I am not to worried.
Mass Effect 3. The single-player is fun and in the multi-player you play against AI with teammates so it isn't a toxic environment.
I dont think so. Imo, there are a lot of amazing games but they dont get much exposure from the media.

You should look at steam early access graduates list. There are many hidden gems in those list
