Graphic vs gameplay
What is more important to you for me definetly gameplay but graphics are good as an extra. For example a game like loop hole which has graphics from the early 90s but it seems people are enjoying it....but the publisher is devolver digital so im not surprised

Gameplay always comes first.
Graphics are nice, but not necessary.
Look which of them appeared first?

Gameplay.

This shows its inherent importance for games (except movie-based games which you only press button to continue).
Gameplay all the way. Graphics should fit the game, other than that I don't care much about it.
Me game play,

Graphic my TNT-2 4 meg card rocks still to this day i still play pug / warframe on it hahah
Definitely gameplay. Regarding aesthetics I always appreciate a good Art Direction, if the graphics are good that's a bonus.
Gameplay ... unless the game is beyond ugly I will usually play it if it's play well enough.
Game Play > Graphics
I would also add that in term of graphics I like things that look stylish more then things that are detailed , complex or realistic.

I'd say graphics for me are more about having a good aesthetic then having ''billions of polygons''.

Both are important, because every aspect of a game affects your ability to enjoy it. It’s all one package: gameplay, graphics, music, sound, story, etc.

If a game has poor graphics but the gameplay is nice i can still enjoy it but not the opposite way

i can play Hexen II still in 2021 despite its 1997ish graphics, whereas i do not play truckloads of modern AAA games due to their gameplay.

Gameplay is higher on my priority list, but if I don't like the colours and/or art style, not going to play it.

A man with good taste same goes for the wolfenstein titles or doom....there are also new games with that artstsle
If i cared a lot about graphics i would have gone to a 4k monitor + system that can run it.

As it is I'm sticking with my 1080p monitor and slower systems because gameplay is more important and it works out cheaper this way.
