why are seasons of anime hated for stupid reasons?
one punch man and TerraFormars season 2 are getting bad reviews

well i cant remember anything on opm season 2, think its hate died down

saitama looks goofy when i first saw him in season 2
EVERYONE is crazy strong, not counting the lame ass goku clone

the opening song sucks
and its on a very long break

TerraFormars season 2
some people hated it for the wrong reasons
oh the animation changed and looks like ♥♥♥♥? HOW?
you want ♥♥♥♥ animation? look at JJBA
EVERYTHING but the oonga bunga brothers is art

the animation is fine

the REAL problems with TerraFormars is

the flash backs
character growth is nice but my god
it was as bad as one trash piece
no more violance, well some

dragged out fights
plot holes and anything that will go wrong, WILL GO WRONG

People whine.
Pay no attention to them.
Most anime ends up with rushed plots, a few seasons down the line some of them don't even make sense anymore.

Given it a try a few times, many animes never finish before they are cancelled. That irks me.

Might pick up Gundam again.

Giant mecha anime rarely disappointed me. (Eureka 7)

I heard so far only AGE and Reconguista should be initially avoided... Mobile Fighter G and Wing still have plenty of fans, contrary to popular belief. Counterattack, Zeta and Turn A are a bit of "sacred cows" apparently...

Regarding opm, i'm really annoyed by the drop on animation quality.

Animation quality should remain consistent or become better. Monogatari is probably the most consistent anime when it comes to animation quality

Some people don´t like animated series or even animated cartoons..
Stupid reasons for you, maybe very valid reasons for others... we are all biased and all have our own opinions for what is "true" after all.....

Totally agree with the OP. Constant flashbacks to try to increase the emotional intensity of every character. I'd be fine if maybe they just did one flashback per character or something, but for one of the main characters - Akari - they were still showing the same flashbacks in the middle of season 2 to his sister and young friend that were hospitalized. It's like...yea, we get it... if this is the only way you know how to make us feel empathy for his character then you need to hire some new writers.

Pacing in the show is also generally terrible even with the constant flashbacks not considered.

Also, constant plot holes and poor writing plague both seasons. I'm not talking about plot holes like, "this is unrealistic and would never actually happen" kind of stuff. I'm talking about the shows plot not following the logic it built into its own story... For example, one character has an ability to sense bio-magnetic fields of living beings to the point where he can tell how many people are on the surface through hundreds of feet of dirt, and yet somehow he gets surprised by an enemy that was burrowing underground towards him for many hours, if not days. This is just one example off the top of my head, but these kinds of massive holes where things work one way in one scene and work a completely different way - or are totally forgotten about - in other scenes is noticeable through the whole show.

I watched the show because I was bored and have already watched every other anime I'm interested in until new shows are released, but there's at least 100 other anime shows I'd recommend to someone before I tell them about Terra Formars.

haven't watched anime in a long time. only gripe for me is if series goes off a different direction for good few episodes then go back to the actually (bleach comes to mind) and some series with something like fighting scene goes on for good 15/20 episodes (dbz comes to mind). the only other thing what comes to mind, can't remember the series but there is a few, where it starts off good but then somewhere in middle of first season and second season it becomes more a series for small kiddies then for your teenager/adult audience
