What's your favorite desktop wallpaper?
Mine is the picture of "Cold Steel - Magnum Tanto".

Something from the Hubble Space Telescope. The imagery of the Universe is beautiful.

Architecture artwork from the Blame! manga or random depressing stuff.
Have you read Noise? There's a few cool shots of the city before it went out of control.
I use Wasteland 2 one now. Just found a tweaked one online looking for an example. Using that one now. https://i.redd.it/73wqy1bqhkf41.jpg

Sure have. I think Noise is required reading if you wonna understand the backstory with Sanakan and the megastructure.

Apparently Tsutomu Nihei used to be an architect which kinda makes sense when you read through Blame. The scale of the megestructure and the rooms within it are pretty amazing.
Right now I have Mass Effect themed wallpapers.

i have my wallpaper rotating automatically between a bunch of wintery-themed animated nature ones, using Wallpaper Engine. I highly recommend you guys check out Wallpaper Engine if you like messing w/ wallpapers! It's really neat and one of the best purchases I've ever made on Steam.

I didn't know that. Definitely makes all of his visual art make more sense though.

Nihei is by far one of my favourite artists that I've discovered in the past few years. Mindblowing stuff.

If you haven't heard of/tried it, the free game NaissanceE is based on his works. It's pretty awesome descending a Nihei-esque city in a game.

Mine rotates but I'm not saying what it is cause it's a secret artist I don't want anyone else knowing about.

In the last 8 or 9 years I've only used two, maybe three wallpapers if I count both my desktop and laptop.

They're all Half Life - ish.

XP lappy, https://www.deviantart.com/jusseren/art/Evil-Gman-131416466

and then I swap between this amazing fan art of my own fan fic, https://www.deviantart.com/viaestelar/art/Our-Frenemy-221494235

and this other fan art for that same one, is the background image used for a 'movie poster' style ad for that fic, but I isolated the background because it's freaking lovely.
