On spotify mind you.. Most people I know don´t use it and half don´t even know what it is.. just saying.
But I can give you two examples, that might come up on my playlist.. but I mean... I could list many different cross genres (they often do) so well.. I guess it depends on how you define "gothic" and if you wanna accept all sub genres....

I guess, I could add more symphonic metal and then add gothic to some of them.. I mean.. could Epica maybe cross in over, or even stuff like cradle of filth.. I guess it depends on whom you ask.

We had a similar debate in the metal thread... where you suddenly found out, that classic conponents are used a lot in that as a sub genre, so is it in gothic..
I reckon it is closer to any genre outside pure classic, that you play yourself, than any other main genre out there.
