Shooting guns in real life is quite different from how they're depicted in most games. 7.62x39 mm is quite manageable for short bursts. Going full auto for the whole clip isn't really useful in most situations but still, it's doable. Even a PKM with 7.62x54mmR can be shot from the hip and kept under control when firing short bursts.
And if you'd end up in a fictional zombie apocalypse, there's most likely no need to shoot anything but single shots on semi-auto.
If not, give me grenades and an Mp5.
Good luck wanting to carry that for too long.
Fortunately they don’t use a clip. They have a detachable box magazine.
