Games where you can play as a Necromancer?
I've been having a very particular gaming itch lately I'd like to scratch. I want to play some games where you can be a necromancer. I already own/play Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, and Elder Scrolls Online all of which allow you to be a necromancer to some degree, but I am looking for more, especially since the scope of your necromantic powers is quite limited without mods in a few of those. So consider this my video game bounty, any suggestions will be appreciated. :sleepyjill:

EDIT: And I don't mind buying from other storefronts if need be, so feel free to suggest non-Steam games.

Thanks for the suggestion. Thanks for reminding, by the way. I'll edit my original post to say I don't mind buying from other storefronts/launchers. I actually don't even own ESO on Steam, I bought it separately.

There are some conjuring/summoning spells that let you bring dead enemies back to serve you.

If you don't mind using some very easy to install workshop mods, Divinity: Original Sin 2 has a pretty awesome Necromancy class and skill tree mod.

Grim Dawn has the best necromancy system since Diablo 2, arguably better since you can hybrid class and roll a Necromancer Occultist and have both undead and demons

Gedonia has pretty decent necromancy so far, haven't really tested it too much yet

Dragon Age: Origins has a summoner mod called "Evocation" that has a necromancy tree

Age of Wonders 3 has an expansion that let's you run a kingdom of undead

Iratus: Lord of the Dead is a game that literally revolves around necromancy

This is a somewhat complicated game, by the way, and may be tricky to complete, if you are new to games, and can only be played online, so you need to have a stable internet connection for it.

Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 along with Icewind Dale 1 and 2 and Neverwinter Nights allow you to create a necromantic wizard.

Necromancers were (maybe still are, I dunno) one of the most popular classes in EverQuest and EQII. (I stopped playing a long time ago.)
