More games need to be set in Chernobyl/Pripyat.

Its such an interesting setting, I'm surprised more games don't explore it. And judging by the things we've seen so far regarding STALKER 2, It's gonna be awhile before we play that. (Also why is it called STALKER 2 if Call of Pripyat is a sequel to Shadow of Chernobyl?)

I mean, many post-apocolyptic games draw inspiration from Chernobyl. The Metro games for example feel very Chernobyl-inspired.

Also, the map Cache in CSGO is set in Chernobyl.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl is another title I almost purchased earlier, but ditched at the last minute in favor of something else. It looks like a good one though. Maybe next time. 😉

Damn, I have been getting into the STALKER games recently, and went to pick up Shadow Of Chernobyl, I got to the sale on the last ten seconds. Welp, guess I'll wait until the summer sale lol.

I saw a relative playing Stalker SoC on PC back in the day and it that was the one game that got me back into PC gaming WXP era. Replayed Stalker SoC this week on and off (no mods). It's rough its also jank at times and I love it.

Maybe Stalker 2 follows Strelok story again? CS was a prequel about a paid merc and CoP was about a solider character doing a recon mission.

In my opinion there are already too many games of this kind. Maybe since I really don't like this genre I'm not able to notice subtle differences like "game with a setting so bleak and depressing that it could be Chernobyl" compared to "game actually set in Chernobyl" but no, it seems like the same thing that happened in PS3 / XBox era but even worse, I really don't want to experience another period like that again.
