Best game grinding memory

You're not a 100% true gamer till you've grinded for some end game power up or armor or ability. What was yours?

Doesn't have to be an rpg or mmo just a game where you need to invest several 100 hours to get the playstyle or gear or abilities.



mine are:

-pikmin 2 losing no pikmin was a tough one

-Dead Frontier 1 & 2 are rpg with a zombie skin over it

-Eve Online cost me soooooo much time but it was worth it.

-Dead Rising having to kill those 63 million or thousand (forgot the number) zombies + the 14 day survival grind for the lightsaber and mega man blaster.

Rocket League
Took me 2900 hours to get Grand Champion in all modes, I am now aiming for the highest rank in atleast one.

I was also 1st on the Legends leaderboard in Realm of The Mad God multiple times.

Star Citizen, I need to work 167 years to have the money for all the ships.

Spiral Knights is the most pleasant of grinds. Still takes forever if you don't have the money to bypass that nonsense.

Grinding to I think 100 in ragonark online as a blacksmith. And getting my final job class (mech) and hating that class so much I asked to be rolled back. And ended up quiting the game. mech was nothing like any class before it and people didn't want to party with you. In your mech suit all your old job skills were even disabled.

It should have just been its own character.

I spent a zillion years grinding Dungeon siege 2 and it's add on.

I'll probably go back to it and do it again, i dunno why...

back in my mmo days one dream I always had was finally hitting max level in those old grindy mmos. It never happened. The closest I probably got was 80+ in 2moons as a sorceress.

My last major new mmo was Perfect world mala version. That was destroyed when Perfect world international version came out. And they ruined it with optional pk and adding like 800% xp cash shop boosters. I had had so much fun grinding in the old perfect world mala.

Sometimes I regret never playing much of some old mmos such as Rappelz to really get deep into those games.

I only got into a top guild in a mmo once. And really didn't much like it. People in it were sometimes bought accounts. Or fake people. Like one guy was so sweet on me and once I got myself kicked out on purpose he never wanted to speak to me again.

Atlantica was nice and easy (still took forever) but a side benefit is that I learned some real world geography that should have been drilled into my head in Elementary school. Praise fetch quests between mumbai and ank-kor wat(however thats spelled)!

oh man it took me YEARS to get wes/max. I think it was last year or the year before when it finally happened.

I don't know , grind is usually the part of the games I don't even want to remember even when it's come to part of games I like very much.

Grinding is the worst part about games, I don't have any good memories about it nor have I spend much time doing it.
