Steam games on chromebook
Is there any way to play steam on chromebook? I'm in detention now for another hour and bored as hell and want to play tf2. Also how to disable goguardian?

My dad actually managed to run half life 2 on chrome book. So it is very possible. Also chrome OS runs on Linux so most Linux games can run on it.

We can not help you bypass the restrictions set up by the school administrator which prevents you from installing or playing games on their hardware.

Steam games on a chrome book? Good luck with that.... even if you did managed to find a steam game for Chrome book, it won't run well.

Try playing in browser FPS games (if you're into FPS games that is.)

Though good luck playing with a touchpad...

Only in the most painfully loosest sense.
ok I just tried to factory reset my chromebook and put it into developer mode, and it wiped all my work off the computer and deleted the app I needed for school, but goguardian, sora and all that ♥♥♥♥ is still on there and my school still controls the chromebook.

The last time I checked. You are not allowed to play video games in school. Especially in detention.

Wh..what.. of course that's what's going to happen when you factory reset a computer. Then again, chromebook relies on the internet so maybe some of your work is saved on the drive.

Honestly dude, just watch youtube. Detention is like what an hour? Then again this post is from 2 hours ago so you're already out by then lol.

Actually we can, but that wouldn't technically be a good thing.

Maybe I can help you. If you want to get good videogames on your chromebook then you're going to have to learn a little more about computers.

The first thing you need to do is get your school files back. Chromebooks have little amounts of storage space. Knowing how much you have is the same as knowing how much wiggle room you have. If you fill up all the space on an SSD (Solid State Drive, a hard drive that is fast and has no moving parts) it will become slower. It's also important because if you have to hand in your computer over to the school to get important programs back then you'll likely lose all the changes you've made.

What ports do you have on your computer? I'm assuming 1 USB-C (the symmetrical oval), 1 USB-A (the common rectangle one), and 1 headphone jack but is there anything else? What about a MicroSD (or full-size SD) card slot?

I'm subscribed to this thread so I'll be able to see if you respond to it.

Edit: I feel like a jerk for dropping this thread. Sorry. I got overwhelmed with irl stuff. I also ran into my own limits on what I know for sure about Chromebooks. It wasn't right to just leave you hanging. I can't promise I'll make a reply.

hey thanks for the help, i don't know what these little things and slots on the side are called, but i can tell you the model number.

the model number is "Acer N18Q6" if you search that up you can see the exact computer i have, here is a link in case you can't find it: acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/NX.HPWAA.002

idk how to find out the storage my chromebook has but the website says 32gb so i'm gonna assume it has that many

is there any thing else you need?
