why am i getting youtube ads every 2 and a half min
is youtube just getting greety?

Yup. I was watching a 12 minute video on a popular channel and I had five adverts in that time. I switched platforms the next day. (Just realized, from the math, that this was about an advert every 2.5 minutes...)

I still had YouTube Music Premium though, because it was handy for the car (wouldn't have to skip 5 minute adverts or click "I'm still listening" every couple minutes). I cancelled it yesterday and immediately started getting adverts again (despite the cancel screen stating I'd have Premium benefits until the end of the period).

YouTube Support got back to me in about 12 hours with, "We're sorry you got adverts after you cancelled despite what the page said. I'll pass this on to the development team."

Anyone have problems with Spotify?
