I just laugh when I get taunted.
A lot of ragers rage at a game because they’re lacking something in their lives. Maybe their lives are complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and they can’t do anything about it. So it definitely isn’t healthy and they need to address their issues.
I once (for a very short time) played with a guy who raged so hard every time something went even slightly wrong, he was shouting so much and he sounded like he was about to start crying sometimes. That's not the kind of behavior you'd want to exhibit in video games or anywhere else!
I've never broken anything (except a knuckle or two), but I jumped up and down on my brother's NES console one time and it actually survived.
True story.
Then I wore out and broke a third party original xbox controller.
And now I've got an Xbox One controller that I've had for 4 years now with some severe drift. Still using it for gaming.
Multi player: it's okay to rage sometimes when something unfair happens, but it's not healthy and if you find yourself raging too often, it's time to pick another game.
On the other hand, if people are playing a tense or a scary game, its not unheard of to experience some sort of emotion, unless they're really experienced in a game or detached from it.
I think full on raging is a bit different though. It's normal for a game to expect some patience from gamers - you're not meant to blaze through everything in a game with ease.
