Getting mad at a game once in a while is okay, it's bound to happen. If you're getting mad all the time, consider reevaluating what you're playing or why you're even playing games in the first place.
I make the people I'm playing with rage for me.
No. It's not bad to rage at a game if you rage at a game it means the game is bad.

A lot of ragers rage at a game because they’re lacking something in their lives. Maybe their lives are complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and they can’t do anything about it. So it definitely isn’t healthy and they need to address their issues.
Well you shouldn't really rage at something like games since they aren't that important because they have no real consequence if you lose. I understand one might get frustrated at times if things don't go their way but they have to learn how to control that. But I suppose games are a good place to practice how to do that.

I once (for a very short time) played with a guy who raged so hard every time something went even slightly wrong, he was shouting so much and he sounded like he was about to start crying sometimes. That's not the kind of behavior you'd want to exhibit in video games or anywhere else!

How many controllers have you broken?

I've never broken anything (except a knuckle or two), but I jumped up and down on my brother's NES console one time and it actually survived.

True story.

4 controllers from overuse. Broke the most Nintendo 64 controller joysticks. Those things were flimsy.

Then I wore out and broke a third party original xbox controller.

And now I've got an Xbox One controller that I've had for 4 years now with some severe drift. Still using it for gaming.
Single player games: you shouldn't rage at all, you have no one to blame but yourself, your rage is useless. Especially bad if you break something while playing a single player game.

Multi player: it's okay to rage sometimes when something unfair happens, but it's not healthy and if you find yourself raging too often, it's time to pick another game.
It sucks for the players left in the game. I don't like when a player dies in L4D and then quits ,leaving the team to finish the game.
That's disturbing, when they can't control their emotions, considering playing a game is senseless tom-foolery.
On the other hand, if people are playing a tense or a scary game, its not unheard of to experience some sort of emotion, unless they're really experienced in a game or detached from it.

I think it's natural to feel some annoyance when you can't overcome a certain challenge in a video game.

I think full on raging is a bit different though. It's normal for a game to expect some patience from gamers - you're not meant to blaze through everything in a game with ease.
I make people rage quit and it's a good feeling
