Avatar 2 release date 2023. Are they crazy?
So do you think when Avatar 2 is finely release in December 2023 it will brake records or have they waited to long? This means there will be 14 year old out there who never even seen the first movie let alone be interested in the newest one.

So in you opinion have they waited to long, or because James Cameron is behind it Avatar 2 will brake box office records?

Or are you so young you do not know who James Cameron is?

I haven't even seen the first one yet.
I didn't watch the first one and won't watch the 2nd one.

Besides, New Indiana and Matrix are coming up.
I personally liked the movie but they waited way to long and then to sink all that money into it. This is a different generation today and that's enough to make or brake it. My opinion.
They're not crazy, they're just greedy. But it could break the records if the technology they use is once again so high end no other film has used it before. Which is entirely possible, knowing Mr. Cameron.
What I would like to know is why they've waited so long to make a sequel. Back when it released, the original Avatar was reported to have been the most successful movie of all time, bringing in more than 1 billion dollars at the box office.

Why did it take them, what, 15+ years to put out another one?

I completely forgot everything about the first Avatar movie.
Native Americans versus white man but in space!
And natives win this time.

Yeah, this fact never ceases to amaze me. I guess it just proves that flashy visuals and hype are the main selling points these days. It was otherwise a pretty dull movie.
That will be determined by the performance of the sequel, I think. Back then, Avatar was an entirely new concept that nobody knew anything about yet. The question is, now that people know how mediocre the plot was, will it still attract the same level of attention and financial success as the first one?

Of course, and a magic tree.
I like Avatar, but for me it is a one and done (well I have got three cuts of the one and done).

I actually played and beat the Avatar game on Xbox 360 and then on PC. The game was a prequel to the movie.

I thought it was like a bio-organic computer type deal End Spoiler The ending is basically a cut/paste data transfer between the host and its avatar via that link.

No it was a movie about Trans people. We had our first Trans species.

Never thought of it that way before. Both descriptions are compatible.
