last.fm only scobbles from my Spotify at the moment, so it might be a bit off, but it claims my favorite albums are:
Silence - Sonata Arctica
Winterheart's guild - Sonata Arctica
Atlantis Ascendant - Bal-Sagoth
The list goes on with Bal-Sagoth until it reaches various albums by AC/DC and Falconer
Garbage - 2.0
The Birthday Massacre - Walking with Strangers
A deep meditation on the nature of fear and how people attempt to deal with it. Conducted entirely through the lens of a funky party album that samples a lot of pop rap hits that I felt were unlistenable beforehand. More or less what the Weeknd was trying to do but infinitely better. Also there's a kid who raps about like, being 12 years old and feeling good about it.
bomb 20 - field manual
A breakcore album about why the world is kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ no matter what you do, and why breakcore is good.
Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92
Smooth those wrinkles.
