Improvement quells all negative emotions in my life, should that come from the most plentiful source of knowledge, the internet, so be it.
Steam is the only platform I'm still using. When I still played Rust, I had a few friends here. Later I used to play Age of Conan with a few decent guys from Johannesburg, but I never got their Steam addresses. The only Steam friend I still have was last online 126 days ago. He was a nice chap from Aberdeen. We talked about that hellish roundabout they have over there. I hope he's alright, but I fear that this is some sort of epitaph for him. Farewell, mate.
Admittedly, I'm pretty complicated myself. Old school would probably describe it best. I've never owned a mobile phone and never sent an SMS in my entire life. I really think that friends should be people who you can trust and rely on in times of need. Well, while I was certainly friend to quite a few people, I had to learn that they don't automatically have to be your friends in return. One ran off with money she still owned me, another dediced that cheating on his wife and playing in a Slayer cover band was more fun than maintaining a friendship with a mentally disabled. Well, I saw that coming. As Marcus Aurelius wrote: if you know how people are and how they act, you shouldn't be angry when they act the way they do. The last of my close friends had a congenital heart defect and died in his early forties. That was bad luck for him. The last time I met him we talked about how his pacemaker went of a dozen times in a single night, and then he was dead. I've had a few acquaintances since then, but no friends anymore.
Agreed
Well my Psychology degree told me something else.
Mind me asking where you come from? That might be the reason why you have that kind of hot take, it is usually a cultural thing.
I remember that, amazing.
^ Very good metaphor!
Although the opinions and views expressed on Steam may offer input consider that there are many (oftentimes free) resources available in your community and online from accredited health professionals who may be of more assistance in addressing personal concerns.
Just an idea. And always have a pleasant day!
I'm totally confused. I never harrassed you. This is bizzare. But then you always were. Whatever.
or just read their horoscope, same thing
My age group is 20+.
I have a friend who have committed suicide. I know how serious depression can be. He appears to be normal, he told me he heard voices in his head often and one day he did it. There is no scene or drama, he is gone, just like that. I've also had another friend who will cry out for no reason. They could not control themselves. Those are depression. The mind is no longer controllable.
No doubt serious depression is a clinical issue. It is only common sense. Why do I wish to debate it differently? At my current age and my experience, I strongly believe depression is a result of a bad, untidy lifestyle. I have observed the people.
It happened because they have not tidy up their life, and it leads to a life experience which overwhelms their brain. That friend of mine did not study. He failed multiple exams. Society gave him a lot of realistic rejection and pressure. The other is stressed by the family. Parents, children and work overwhelmed her.
They all have a reason to be depressed.
Now, as I visit forum to give my fair share of opinions, I won't just go "oh you have depression. God bless. Consult an expert." I will strongly advise to tidy up life. get things rolling, be positive. And after putting that empathy and effort to write about it, the "experts" will then go booo irene what about those that are poor and have depression yada yada and carry on to give a lot of sarcasms. It is quite an unhappy read. Thus I comment it's unfair to attack me that way since my comments are good efforts. They could have handle it better if they disagree, such as "ok irene tidy is good but I have another view because depression is actually a very big challenge..." with that, I will only give respect. I will only give award and smiles. You claim you have a psychology degree, so I believe you understand why I gave a different opinion.
