Sitcoms are dead?

Since the big bang theory there isn’t really anything to watch anymore..are there maybe some upcoming ones?

Hm I don't think laugh tracks work on me. I think i prefer the characters, story and setting more than the jokes anyway.

They only go so far though. I remember when I was younger watching older episodes of Scooby-Doo which had a laugh track for some reason in parts that weren't really funny at all. I never found the show particularly funny, but still enjoyed it.

A lot of shows are really unfunny with the LT removed. Few can make it without the laugh track.

Like Friends and Seinfeld really aren't funny, but your brain gets tricked.

That's why i stopped watching them if they are streaming on one of my services.

A thought occures...

Someone should do a laugh track on a show like law and order special victims unit. That could actually be pretty funny.

Kind of like the comic Garfield minus Garfield.

There are other comedies without laugh tracks though and I still like them too. Stuff like The Office doesn't have a laugh track but I still found it entertaining. But I mean, I don't really watch these shows because I think they're funny. I watch them because they're just cheesy fun and entertaining.

This is precisely why I watched Seinfeld. I never thought it was funny (although it had its moments here and there); I watched it because it was outrageous and ridiculous.

I played Scooby-Doo! Night of 100 Frights on Gamecube.

Laugh tracks appear in both cutscenes AND gameplay.

Particularly when you press the Charge button (B on Gambecube).

I'm not sure if the office counts as sitcom anyway. I think it is more of a mockumentary.

Yes it's dead. The only thing that remains is a hollow shell filled with pandering to the easily offended, and political agenda. Thus the reason comedians have been speaking out against it. Real comedy is also dead for the same reason, and the ones that ruined it all wouldn't know comedy if it slapped them in the face with a banana cream pie.
