It can be played solo and it has a story. But the dungeons later on I would recommend playing with other people.
Thanks for the replies.
Are the dungeons part of the story or just collective looter missions ?
How long is the story ?
Is it 10 15 30 hour ish...
The strengths of Anthem.
The Javelins all feel good to use. They have weight to them and the ones that are nimble are nimble.
Weapon combat is just fine. All though you can't just crank up the difficulty and think you'll be able to do it with low level weapons. You won't. So keep within the Power range of the suggested difficulty level and you should be fine.
Story is also fine. It's an opinion on whether you like it or not. I personally like it and the main character talking was a nice feature. Makes immersion better.
World is pretty and big.
Flying around.
Cons
Quite demanding.
End game is quite the grind. Also it has far less players now and unless you have good gears you won't be able to do Highest level dungeon.
Story kinda ends on a cliffhanger. All though the main story is complete. It's just that it starts to continue after that but it stops.
But yeah play through it on EA play if you have that. Or if you DO wanna surprise the developers buy it.
Warframe gameplay doesn't feel as good as Anthem does. Seeing how all Warframes feel the same when moving around. Guns varies though.
The flying around part in Warframe is easily worse than Anthem.
Both games feels so vastly different from each other. I got more than 3k hours on Warframe and around 350 hours on Anthem.
Opinions are never objective.
Facts are.
Facts about Anthem: It was a failure and the devs stopped supporting it so the game is pretty much dead.
Some dungeons are part of the story, but can be played on lower difficulty and would be easier to solo. Story was around 10h I believe, was a long time since I played it. The rest was collecting collectables and getting better loot. [/quote]
Thanks for the info...
You can play by yourself, but the game will always be online. There is no offline mode.
There is a story. It's the most bare-bones excuse of a story I've seen in a game. Don't buy it for the story, you'll be disappointed. Actually, don't buy it at all. Aside from being a bad game - with copy-pasted loot and fetch-quest missions - the game has been abandoned, with no further updates or content (despite once having a roadmap that promised great things). It's not even worth the $10 it discounts to during sales.
The only reason I played it was b/c I got a free month of Origin Access (as it was called then). Glad I didn't spend any money on it.
That complicates matters...
Is there anyone left to play the mandatory co-op bit ?
i got 450 hours in the game and trust me its dead
