Physical Strength male/female in the animal kingdom...
Biological human males have roughly a 40% increased upper body strength compared to biological human females. But are there major difference in strength in the animal kingdom? Are male horses stronger? Are male monkeys stronger?

Well, I've always understood that women inherently have increased lower body strength comparatively to men.

And that does seem to at least somewhat be the case, as my mom is the one who always ploughs the fields with nothing but brute strength.

But then again, my fingers are vastly stronger than hers from years of competitive gaming. Seriously though, the strength of my fingers cannot be matched by any mortal being.
I mean aside other gamer, i have very strong fingers as well.
Depends on the type of animal, OP. But the general rule of thumb from my observations would be that in warm-blooded animals, the males tend to be bigger than the females, but in cold-blooded animals, the males are similar or smaller in size than the females. There are freakish exemptions to this rule, but that's the gist of my rule of thumb. :cozycrashfish:

Reptiles are actually pretty even in term of species having a sex dominating the other while for mammals a large majority of males are dominant while you only have like Hyenas where the female is dominating. Insects are also even.

But fishes are a weird can of worms, in terms of dimorphism between the sexes. :cozycrashfish:

True so are bugs too.

Smaller animals (e.g. insects) female is usually larger.

Bigger animals (e.g. mammals) male is usually larger.

Humans are mammals so men are usually larger, stronger.

It makes sense within the context of nature because our ancestors were hunter-gatherers and like in the animal kingdom, men also compete for women and usually do more physical work, fight with each others, etc.

Also, men used to be seen as protectors of the tribe so they had to have that extra muscle mass and bulkiness/ruggedness.

The term OP is looking for is Sexual Dichotomy.

Meanwhile we have Anaconda females that are gigantic compared to males and Lantern fishes is the same deal.

in solitary animals the female is always larger because she can't rely on her mate to gather food for her while she is pregnant

Male bears are much larger than the female.

I thought they paired seasonally, but I don't really know much about them.
Maybe this pattern is only true of cold-blooded animals.

Or she eat the male too. Like Anacondas and like 90% of insects where the female is the boss.

Do you know if their muscle are stronger though? Like on a human if you took a male and female who had exactly the same muscle mass the male would be stronger because our muscles are setup that way.

While mass generaly doesn't mean strenght most of the time if it's bigger it's stronger.
