steam profile avatar / image / name don't really matter
Why would you want people to know your gender anyway?
Its just an useless information about myself I know, but it feels bad when someone just randomly texts u like that...
Yes you are right and kinda funny tho how people treat me (and other girls) before and after I say something to them on voice chat
I reckon it has to do with maturity.
Basically most young teens or even mid/late teens, that play games, are well... not very versed in manners, they are also confused.. (body and mind, is having big changes in those years)
I have played a few games and mmo´s were the majority were actually female, even +40 on avarage in some of them.... It really has to do with your sphere of influence.. what do you play, how old are you, whom do you interact with, etc etc..
At the end of the day however... why do you care? you can just ignore people anyway.
Gaming is not male dominated, it is actually pretty close to being 50/50
Genres, platforms, etc ofc do play in.. ie. I knew many females that play cRPG´s or simulations (atm I am playing Planet Zoo, that is pretty popular with the females) whereas I don´t see many female players in HoI4..
Either way, unless your using a mic, let people think what they will.
That makes good sense tbh ^^
