But I do get pretzel bread buns pretty regularly. All other buns and rolls are inferior.

The first shopping mall was Southdale Mall in Edina, MN, but growing up, Har Mar and Rosedale and MOA were my family's primary malls.
When Apache Plaza was wrecked by a tornado, it never fully recovered, but I still remember the sky lights and pleasant crepuscular rays that made the place particularly enjoyable to just sit and reflect.
And there was one mall near Lincoln, Nebraska that my grandmother used to bring me to, and I really loved. I particularly remember the unique fountain. I wish I could remember the name of the place.
And there was another mall outside of Omaha that my Great Aunt used to bring me to that I really loved. All I remember is the K.B. Toys at one end of it.

are any of the frozen brands good? any of them with cinnamon sugar included? or just butter?
Dunno about the frozen ones.. never tried them, but I can't imagine frozen dough being as appetizing.
I *think* they baked soft pretzels although they could have boiled them. Biali vs bagel -ish.
Anyone know how the mall stores & vendors made them?
Some subways sell frozen pretzels just microwaved and they taste fine.
hunh... I didn't know that. I'll have to try - if my local Subway has 'em. And they also have (or used to have) personal pizzas at Subway that were nuked & actually kinda tasty.
i think it's just inside walmarts or indoor store locations like that. the pizzas actually cooked in the oven for like 2 minutes. you can get bacon on the pizza and also the cheddar jack shredded cheese is really good on the pizza.
