Curious about Dogs and Chickens
OK, don't feed chicken to your dog, we all know that. Or should anyway. Apparently the fragile chicken bones can break in the dogs throat and choke it.

Fine.

So what I find curious is that coyotes, foxes, wolves, etc., all of which are closely related to dogs, can break into your hen-house, eat your chickens, meat, bones, feathers and everything, take some home to feed their pups, then come back in a week for another helping, with absolutely no choking issues whatsoever?

I think it’s when the bones are cooked, they get hard and brittle. They break into shards, which is the dangerous part.
Yeah cooking poultry makes the bones extremely fragile and they can harm animals or humans alike.

I've watched my outdoor-indoor cat *eat a bird from its head to its feet* but that's a freshly killed natural dish she apparently loves... Feathers and all, dude.

Cooked on the other hand, has to be trimmed off the bone.
Who said this to you. My vet always suggest to feed my (sick) dog with fully cooked chicken breast (with its keel bone), a bit of rice porridge, and carrots. It's been working great for my dogs
I've never heard of a vet that recommended cooked bone. Chicken, yes. But nothing solid if they're not feeling good. Rice and chicken and carrots is kind of universal, makes me feel better too lol.
“If your dog kills your chicken, hit the chicken with the dog” - some dog training thing I read once
