Hey everyone I was wondering what you think the top 3 Beat em up games are. I'd like to know since i have an idea for one and would like to know what makes a good beat em up. Thanks.

We have to keep it on PC, otherwise you will also have to include fairground attractions, arcades, and other of such devices, because those are also games. So...

Unless you also consider something like Batman: Arkham Asylum a beat 'em up, because its the same idea. Except they added more to it then just walking from left to right.

Beat ‘Em Ups don’t do it for me anymore. The genre itself feels insufficient as a modern PC game, and more like a game mode. Just too much repetition for me now.

Can’t say I’ve kept my radar up, though. If there’ve been any notable modern improvements on the genre, I’ve probably missed them.

The old arcade Simpsons game is my no. 1 favorite Beat ‘Em Up of all time. The arcade Ninja Turtles is probably my no. 2.

It’s hard to pick a third. I enjoyed many old console Beat ‘Em Up’s. I’ll just put em all in third.
