I just watched Inside Man, in short.. excellent and captivating movie. Of course this had me craving for a sequel, and well Inside Man 2 is just... I dont even know... Just why

Heat is incredible. Glad people still see it. I think Point Break is along those lines.

Funding for the sequel with all the same cast and director fell apart. Then years later it was picked up and made with an entirely new cast and director. It's not worth watching imo. I don't consider it a 'true' sequel.

Yep, sadly.. I wish the original one would have happened instead, i wouldnt necessarily call the 1's ending a cliffhanger one, though it ended as if they planned a sequel.. Unfortunate..

Not a bank heist movie and more action oriented but Ronin from 1998 starring Robert De Niro, Jean Reno, Stellan Skarsgård and Sean Bean is an excellent movie. A bunch of specialists is tasked to get a suitcase.
According to imdb 80 automobiles were destroyed during filming :D

Also, some might not know this, but Heat is based on a true story. The movie also inspired a real-life robbery in California in 1997.

I agree. Btw, there is a very good movie called Heist with Gene Hackman. If you like heist movies, you can't go wrong with this one. Although it isn't action oriented like Heat, it is a good cerebral heist film.
