You might be wondering why am I stressing this movie so much because once you watched a movie, have a relief that you just watched a great movie, and go home from the cinema. Yes this IS a movie but it is a true story...
Alright I'll tell my opinions Spoilers ahead.

So first of all why did the father locked her in the secret basement is because of she didn't respect him (the dad). She got a biker boyfriend but her father keeps telling her not to and she resists every single time. And the disrespectfullness keeps going on again, and again, until her father tricked her to the secret basement to trap her for umm, If I remembered, 20 YEARS!

She is trying to call for help but her father keeps blocking every possible way. And everytime there is an attempt to do so, Consequences will come.

Years passed by and she got her first child. (Well I don't know how to fertilization occur that got her pregnant but you could tell your opinions), And it keeps going again and again, as so many years passed until she got another child. 2 in total.

One day her child grew up and asked who is Amy. She (The mother who has been trapped by the dad) finally tells the truth. They did go insane.
And the ending you could watch to get more percision.

How cruel humanity is, her father was so insane to lock her own daughter in the basement until she got 2 children (they are also locked there together since birth). Her father is showing to mercy or anything, But i really hope this won't happen ever again in this planet earth.
