Constantinople or Istanbul? Which one do you think sounds better?

For those who don't know and live under a rock Istanbul is one of the most populous cities in Europe located in Turkey and a popular tourist attraction. Constantinople was the previous name of Istanbul that they renamed somewhere in 1910s. Constantinople is the Greek version and Istanbul is the Turkish one.

Hmmm greek accent looks similar to the spanish one (except south)

Yeah, i have been on both countries ,both accents are similar but easily to tell apart

Specially by the pronunciation of the S and even the vowels a,e and o


But i didnt know south of Spain sounded different, never been on those regions

Interesting fact is that part of the secret agreement during WW1 Russia was going to get Istanbul and the Bosphorus Straits if they declared war on the Turks.

Russia wanted Constantinople for a very long time. During the independence war of Greece it was their best chance to take it. And you can understand why anyone would want Constantinople or how it's known as Istanbul in the modern word. City makes almost 237 billion Dollars (2019). That's like more than some other countries.
