For the record, Hagia Sophia being turned into a mosque again was erdogans little brain fart and unfortunately under current circumstances no one else has a say in it. Let's just say anybody with comparable (or greater) intelligence to a parrot knows that closing a museum that litterally prints money is a moronic act indescribable proportions.
Yeah we also covered some parts of history multiple times on different years (well 2 times only), thats was even worse for me ,i was like "ughhh rly? I need to study those romans and the medieval era in Spain again?"
And the most funny thing was that the same PDFs was given to memorize (well, the same teacher i had so i guess it makes sense)
That was just literraly a loss of time
I even fall asleep multiple times in history class on the last year where he had to study all those things again.... Im still wondering how the teacher didnt notice
Well, yeah, nowadays i get that but still history is a pointless subject and a loss of time, specially when you learn the same things again (romans for example)
It should be teached at least in a different way (or less hours should be spent for it) considering the lack of importance it has for the future comparing to some other subjects
But unfortunately here ,they give it too much importance for the university access exam so i rly doubt it ll happen
Funny enough, Miklagarðr means big "stronghold/city"
Basically that is what all names for it was.. Well I don´t know if Lumi has that meaning..
The worst of the names used (just native names) is like Stamboul or the short span of Augusta Antonina.
I rather like the Slavic version. Tsarigrad
Yes. It was fun to do so.
Even one of those you listed are a "euro centric" translation.
Isnt that what every language does....
Like some cities just sound different on each language
also how's it going with that lady, are you dating her?
It does in some cases, as I demonstratet
