Why don't other countries make good animation for adults?
Like, you only have a handful of countries that make animation targeted towards adults: USA/Canada, Japan, some out of China, and maybe a small amount out of Europe. I'd love to explore animation from other parts of the world, but it is sadly lacking in many cases.

I would say the market is not that big to make it worthwhile, and those that exist can just import it.
Animations cost a lot to produce. That's why only the best economies in the world can produce these kind of stuff in quantities large enough to be recognized. Plus it's not only a matter of money, you also need talented and creative peoples and they have to be let free to create what they want.

For example, China have tried several times to makes animes, but most of them are awfully bad or just "ok". They have the money, but they don't have the rest.

China definitely has some good stuff nowadays. Heaven Official's Blessing, The Leader (that one's a bit political tho), Psychic Princess.
It's really hard to compete against Anime.

Look at Disney and US Superhero animations, they either make the same things they made 30+ years ago, or they infuse them with some sort of socio-political messaging. Their supposed adult stuff looks completely outdated compared to modern Anime. Their kid stuff is still OK and seems just as popular as before though.

If you look at Anime, a genre that is already extremely competitive inside of Japan, you usually get products that are super polished and finely tuned towards entertainment. They need to be if they want to stand out, whereas Disney & US Comics have had things easy in the past (they were a monopoly more or less), before Anime took off to challenge them (and won).

Like I've said in another thread, America know how to do great stuff, like Rick and Morty. But you're doomed by political activists making everything they touch boring and disgusting. And cancel culture don't help either. Japan have none of that and that's why they dominate, mangakas only want to make great shows and their country let them do that. It's as simple as that. When you stop trying to brainwash others or sell them crap because it work for a moment and just make good stuff, they begin to like you. Surprising, no ?

Yes, China tend to improve but compared to Japan, they have a lot to learn. Maybe in some years their animes gonna be as good as Japan ones, we'll see.

The ones forcing characters no ones like, like Marvel's "new warriors" for example. Even 'murica military is laughted at now : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2Rr6Uu2C4Y

That's ridiculous.

What's so ridiculous about recruiting trans people or women?

Or maybe you just never saw the animations of other countries, becuase your region does not have a licence for it or because its not popular enough at your region.

I can't say what I really think about it, for obvious reasons. But it's not because I can't say it I don't gonna think it. :)

I'll remind you that your country just lost against Afghanistan ... Just saying. 20 years for nothing, that's too is ridiculous. And it's not because of your military forces themselves, but because of your weak mindset.

You're really sticking it to the libtards there, aren't you?

Nah, not only them, the whole West is becoming a land of weaks. Their political adversaries are not better. No matter where I look, I only see weakness.

A little quote from an ex-military of my country I respect : "Better to inspire fear than pity".

And that's also why japanese animes are liked, because in Japan they're very militarist as a mindset. They're able to make animes about wars and genocides like SnK or others. And that's work.

I think its because the culture of how cartoons is perceived. Cartoons are still thought to be "childish" so thus the reason why there are a lot of kiddy cartoons.

Even anime, despite having some mature rated animes, is still considered childish. Maybe not in Japan but from other cultures.

I don't know what your definition of "adult" cartoons are but if it's anything like the anime Monster or something I'm all in for it.
It has been over 33 years since Akira was released and yes there are still majority of people who still perceive animations as "Childish". Also, from what I have herd animators don't get paid well, infact less than an intern.
Well, I don't even like that kind of animation to be honest.
