Best STEAM games for 11-12 year old
With the STEAM sale going on, I am looking to get my son a couple of new games. We already have Airport CEO, Simple Planes, Simple Rockets 2, Portal, Portal 2, Kerbal and the Henry Stickmin Collection. :) Any additional suggestions for a kid who loves building stuff, or is just fun?

garry's mod is a good one, it has a workshop where you can download things that other people make for the game like buildings and stuff, but beware sometimes theres some people that post stuff that is more for adults

It's not on sale right now, and it's not a building/sandbox type, but ibb & obb might be worth keeping an eye on if you want something co-op and kid friendly that you can play together. Looks like $14 for the double pack that includes an extra copy you can gift to someone. I've played around with it for a couple of hours, and it's a pretty fun platforming/problem solving sort of game. Lots of teamwork required to progress.

A hat in time and Portal Knights.

Portal knights is like minecraft but less square. But you need to buy the DLCs to get the full experience.

Also, check out Slime Rancher, it's a pretty chill game.

Edit 2 : Also check out the Batmam Arkhan series if he is into superheroes.

When me and my classmates were 12, we played a game that 'was just fun' and exciting - a game called Doom.
You should buy him Doom Eternal.
