But well, humor can sometimes be random
Since it's 2021 now, almost all jokes are old and dated.
Next gen kids wish to have attention and memes provides them with that similar to being toxic online. The positive or negative aspect doesn't matter. It's just the sweet, sweet attention they crave. Consider it like a little brother annoying an older brother. They know they might piss off the brother but for a temporary moment they brother gives them focus they desire and therefore are willing to risk it and then doomed to repeat it to keep that short term attention, till punched in the face.
My point here. they have almost always been here, since the internet got established for personal use, but now you just see them everywhere, because everybody knows how to make it.
You can see these trends in history, first a small group adopts an idea, then 10-30 years later, mainstream does... in this case it is pretty much just jokes.. anyway.. nothing new, other than kids not having to make weird noises why telling their jokes and looking people into the eyes anymore... now they just look into a monitor... alone.
We live in many different societies.
Indeed they are. everything is
Silly "full stop" using people
