On the inside there's too much hatred and we are no where near "civilized" as we appear to be.
People are only quiet because it's forced upon us, nothing in nature will ever be peaceful, especially when there are things such as ranks, money, social status, always forcing your beliefs upon others we always fight to be on top, people compete. That's what we do.
And equality wouldn't solve much and is a pretty weak argument.
Making everyone equal is similar to cloning, emotions such as greed, jealousy, judgement, ambition is what makes us human. Take those egocentric emotions away and we are just a piece of soulless meat.
And since a child, I got a trauma about those loud wars so I cannot sleep troughout the night...
It's been a while since we had a "World War", but that's a pretty pointless standard when people are having their neighbourhoods leveled by carpet bombings, and all the rest.
If you're jonesing for some unrest, why not try leaving your small town instead of wishing for death and violence? Go in any direction, no matter where you are right now, and it's only a matter of time before you find more horrors and trauma than you can handle.
When man loses the fear of the nuclear spark, it will return again, bigger and badder than ever before. And when man goes to space, it will follow. For war is a part of most every creature of earth, and man is no exception.
Unless they want Mad Max on their ass, that is.
Is it?... where is it "peaceful"?
The mask is just coming off... people are just now noticing there was never really any "peace"
I'm too cheap to fork out for a facepalm thingy
