At least with pokemon cards you actually own something.
Both make me wonder why people would spend hundreds on them.
Eurgh this reminds me of when my best freind took my money and spent it on Pokemon cards. :steamfacepalm:

I think it's trade recognition. The same concept as a country's dollar. It's backed and trusted by a community of many people. The CSGO community reached over 1 million players, that is a size which is bigger than many small countries.

With that high level of success, the company is printing money. They can just make one rare card and sell it for ten thousands, and the card or skin doesn't have to be good looking. : x

Yeah, but what is one going to due with a $1000 pixel? Sell it again?
If the cards are real. one day the pokemon cards will cost a fortune in one auction, especially with a complete mint condition set. Virtual currency and items have no value and they last as long as the game remains active, because after this the skins will disappear altogether.

Exactly. To buy other games for example.
It will be more profitable if you stayed away from both of those facades lol
I miss Pokemon cards ;/
Now its impossible to buy them

And well pandemic made it worse...
Pokemon.

There's no legal (as in actually protected by the law, not as illegal) way to cash out CSGO skins so the legal one wins

Yeah right. I know there are people in this world that would spend that kind of money on a pixel, but I wouldn't want to have the anxiety of investing so much money into that, and having to wait for a buyer.
Whichever has the greatest differential between purchase cost and selling price would be the most profitable.

I'd assume there are individual items within each market that are more profitable than others.

Sure, a piece of paper. That makes them physically worth half a cent more but thats not the point.
