Scarface - where, how, why and when?
Where can I buy this game legit - presumably as a key which can be activated on steam?

Why not?

How is it this game hasn't been remastered or remade/taken on by some other company?

When will it be remastered/remade?

ah-ah-ah ah mush love :MushroomRotA:

I expect licensing is an issue. Happens, especially when the game is based on a movie. Licensing beyond the initial release becomes complicated and expensive, without enough return to make it worth it. The "Reservoir Dogs" game is sort of in the same boat I think.

1- It's never been available on Steam. Hell, I doubt it was available on old digital distribution platforms like Direct2Drive back in the day.

2- Unless you find old stock in a store shelf you'll never get a new copy.

Your only viable choices are either finding a used copy in a flea market or ebay or get it elsehwere.

If you Google "scarface game pc" one of the top links should be to an abdonware site where you can just download it. I highly doubt it was ever on Steam or that you'll actually find a place buy it legit anywhere. Another option is emulating the PS2 version, PS2 games are very easy to emulate these days.

I believe you are correct - although I read online that some digital keys did indeed exist, obviously a chance stands thats not the case or atleast not anymore.

Very likely the case - I read somewhere about a sequel being made or the license being passed to others but this was very old info and likely dead in its tracks unfortunately.

I did see this site yes - not up for downloading it though. I'm definitely not quick to trust sites let alone one such as that. Perhaps I'll pop up a virtual machine to see.

I would try to buy an oldschool ps2 and then track down a copy for ps2. It'd be worth it just to have the console for when youre done

Myabandonware is legit, but an even better site is archive.org. https://archive.org/details/scarface-the-world-is-yours-pc-aus

I do actually have one hiding around, and considered this. I just remember many many years ago when a family member had it on pc - seeing as thats what I play I wondered why there wasn't more behind the game by now to be fair.

I'll have a look at all that, thanks a lot. :MushroomRotA:
Just bare in mind, that the PC version used on anything but Windows XP will most likely require manual patches and trial and error fixes. I've got a physical copy of the game and the latest OS I was able to run it on was WIndows 7 and even that required an external launching tool, which completely lost its power on Windows 10.
