Fortunately for you, that motherboard can be updated with an USB. MSI probably has a guide you can follow somewhere. You do not need another CPU for this motherboard, like you would many others.
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B550-A-PRO#down-bios
From my (very limited) knowledge it means that you may need BIOS update, it's not hard but the problem is you would need another CPU as a placeholder to launch the PC and update it. It says it might require update because you nevere know what version of BIOS is shipped, you may recieve that motherboard with version 1.0 of BIOS that doesn't support your CPU and won't work or you may get one that is updated and will work smoothly.
But anyway you should head to hardware forum, if anybody reading this sees any mistakes please correct me for the sake of the OP, like I said I have very limited knowledge when it comes to PC builds
Can a mod move this post automatically ?
You mean the topic? Yes they can move them to other forums but I doubt they will do it as they don't come here often
