Oh yeah, why didn't I thi- REDIRECT VIRUS
Right-click your web-browser icon > Properties. Take a look under the "Shortcut" tab and at the end of the "Target" field. Make sure it doesn't have a website URL in quotes " after the EXE name to launch.
Run the web-browser, without any plugins / extensions enabled. Some web-browsers allow a safe-mode or disable plugins startup upon them. It will depend on the browser.

The free edition is fine to use as a manual run clean. Ensure to update it's virus definitions and then run a full scan.
Kaspersky or MalwareBytes are a couple of other quality anti-virus products I would recommend, if you want another option. Any of those, take your pick.
ps: Don't pay money for a virus removal software, which demands to be paid before actually cleaning the virus. Those are commonly fake scare tactic apps which are viruses themselves.
That virus spread is commonly via fake Adobe Flash Player update popups (Flash is being discontinued by the end of 2020 and should be blocked by default on Microsoft Edge, etc), malware-riddled bundles (watch out for fake apps or free downloads upon questionable sites), or email spam.
Look under your Control Panel > Programs and Features, sorting by date, for any newish questionable apps. Specially toolbars. Such as "Yahoo! Power", "Babylon Toolbar" or "Search Protect by conduit" or "WebCake", etc. The virus scan should of already removed it if malicious, but good to check twice to prevent any reinfections.
After you have successfully cleaned the PC, consider changing your passwords to accounts logged in while infected, just incase they have been snooped / keylogged. It's an adware web-browser hijacker, which mostly just increases ads. However, there are various types.
