My prediction? It will become woke. And by that I mean all the stereotypical humor -- from the different types and ethnicities and neighborhoods that made them all believable -- will all be gone. Except hillbillies, rednecks, and wealthy Right-wing white people. Those are still going to be "parodyable". But there will be no stereotypical Chinese gangs, Latino gangs, Grove street neighborhoods, gay nightclubs, Italian mafia neighborhoods, edgy and spot-on radio talk show humor, or any other forms of satire that contain elements of truth, which is central to satire and parody. My guess? That's why the Housers left, because they see it too. Lazlo will probably leave the creative writing team, also, and for the same reason. No more humor, unless it's the correct humor -- so why even bother?

I wish it were not so, but it is. Chappelle should have been hired in addition to Lazlo, IMO.

i kinda wish gta has a more serious tone tho, but i guess that's what RDR is for

Why would Rockstar create a new game when they can keep making money from GTA Online?

Complacency wins in the end, so that's why we don't see any new game(s) for that franchise.

Nah,i don't think a company like rock star will leave dan houser without writing the story of the next gta game,Grand Theft Auto VI.I think the story will be short like gta v and will be more focused on multiplayer then singleplayer.But as you guys already know that rockstar employees said that they will focus a bit more on singleplayer.But i still think the story will be a bit like 2 to 3 hours more than gta v campaign

I don't think there's much soul to GTA, when I was younger I loved it and it was one of my favorite series, but then when I grew up, I realized that story is bad, missions are very repetitive and game does not have much interesting to offer.

For example, if I played GTA IV today, I would think this is some alpha version, where most of the content has not been yet added, it would feel dull after a while.

That, too. Typically, people who play games, want to escape from reality/realism. And GTA had always been about fun, not a multitude of annoyances and inconveniences, to remind you of real life issues and physics! Besides, 4 was clunky (gameplay-wise) beyond how words could ever express and an unimaginable mess, overall. And a large portion of gamers, still think of San Andreas way more highly, than V. I bought 4 retail and ended up gifting it to a friend, because it was literally unplayable, with all those layers of DRM, third party accounts/logins and whatnot... Of which, GFWL was even axed at a point, before the updates that came later, to adress various issues. And i got V for free on Epic. With all due honesty, i would never buy an HD title, where and when, i bought each and every game in the franchise (minus London Expansions for 1, that i was never able to locate). If i wanted realism in driving, i would go for a rally or a simulator.
