I'm very paranoid of adding people on here, so i'm not a collector of friends.

I used to have a private profile and that helped a lot in 2017-2019 for me.

I have 122 friends which sounds a lot but majority came quite natural. Some from csgo, some from achievement hunting, some from forums and some from groups I mod. Never begged or posted in specific groups for that purpose so I say no.

Yeah, I know it would help. But still, I don't want to be forced to have my profile completely private.
Also, I want people to be able to post something on my profile if they want or need to.
Anyway, it's not like I'm popular, haha. And that "friends only" option helped me too.

Sometimes I venture out to find people, because adding friends effects recommendations. Not very communicative with most of them, unless we're in a game.

Weird people are more fun, but most of them won't respond to my request.

If you vibe with someone, add em. If you're playing some video games and find people in that game you enjoy playing with, add em.

Definitely not. I learned my lesson, when i played l4d2 everyday, and added anyone who sent me friend request. Way too many strangers who i cant even remember, and handful of people that mattered.

I keep deleting people from my friend list, if they havent even logged in for a year, or if i just feel like it.

You can use the friends/chat manager to categorize your friends, say by certain games played, and you can use the nickname function to add short notes.

I always keep my friends list full. you get 10 new friend slots each time u level up so meh might as well use them

No, I want to keep my friends list as low as possible, I rarely even send friend requests myself, also i don't like friend collectors
