Meh... most player awards was for Ghost of Tsushima... TLoU2 won awards for the industry by the industry... like any Hollywood awards for Hollywood.. are you really surprised? Just ignore it..

I'm willing to let TLOU2 win something like Best Audio Design or Best Art Direction, but it does not deserve something like Best Narrative. And it definitely doesn't deserve something like GOTY.

they're all rigged. form your own opinion and pay no mind to shows that invite random movie and music celebrities who never touched a videogame in their lives, it got invaded by hollywood and the hollywood style of rigging, same as the oscars and the grammys

Most 'awards' these days are industry hand holding disguised as popular opinion among regular people.

As mentioned by another, it's just like Hollywood. It has nothing to do with users favorites or users awarding something.

Game awards... Such an important event. Somehow it reminds me of Miss universe beauty contest or equally important Eurovision. Game awards go nicely into the same category of utmost significance.
