What's the coolest car?
VW Beetle painted in hippie motives?

Two seater sporty roadster?

A van with black windows?

What would you say?

Tesla. Because it's saving the planet.

Tesla's explode on a 100 mile per hour impact. Might save the planet but it kills the people living on that planet.
There is no reason to drive that fast outside of a track! I know it's easy to do in a Tesla, they drive like rocket ships, but be mindful! I set the one I drive to "Chill" mode and it's still a bat out of Hell.

Anyway, this one:

I respect your taste and 80s classics. But I prefer something more modernized.

Saw one of those in the wild here in the U.S. a couple years ago (imported, with RHD). It's still my favorite Mitsubishi.

But think of all the lives they saved by not making harmful emissions.

I always find it funny when people tout environmental issues as a reason to get an electric car. They are worse for the environment than a regular gasoline car. Those batteries didn't just spring into existence out of nowhere, and they won't suddenly vanish into nothing when they're no longer usable. Plus, electricity generation is a pretty dirty industry overall. Not everything is windfarms and a few solar panels on individual roofs. For example, solar farms have an annoying tendency to light birds on fire when they fly over. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/solar-farms-threaten-birds/

Not that I think your comment was in that vein, comes across pretty clearly as sarcasm.

Chevy Camaro and the Pontiac Firebird they both are twin sisters. It just that one didn't get to live long enough to get feature alot in movies.
Their other sibling, the Trans-Am, has been in quite a few movies, but not since the 70s and early 80s.

Car companies are funny, with all their twin brands, especially in the 80s and 90s. Ford and Mercury -- Escort/Lynx. Mustang/Capri. Taurus/Sable. Tempo/Topaz. Thunderbird/Cougar. It goes on and on how many they did this with.
People are actually funny and strange. Toyota tried to enter the Luxury Market in the 80s with their Cressida under their own nameplate but failed to compete. Wasn't until they made another brand name Lexus.

Because no self-conscious, caviar-eating, Grey Poupon-lending, futures-trading rich person was going to be caught dead driving a nameplate like Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, or Nissan, they had to come up with new names like Lexus, Acura, Genesis, and Infiniti. And have them advertised by actors with refined British accents in commercials with soft classical music.

Yes, does Lexus even exist in Japan or are they just high-end Toyotas?

IDK. Maybe they didn't exist back then, but by now they probably grew out to be more independent not relying on Toyota so much on for help.
