We had some weird internet dial up thing at my parents home. You guy this funny looking ui that you used to start up the internet and it made a bunch of funny noises when you did.

I took an interest in martial arts and spent hours downloading videos of a new minutes Shorinji Kempo. It was probably rather low resolution now and the files were small. But internet back then was slow. It also cost depending on how long you were connected so I had to pay for free videos.

Now I can be online how long I want and the videos would probably be downloaded in mere seconds or something.

I remember using the Mosaic browsers on the Digital workstations with Gopher and telnet and stuff that I've already completely forgot what they were for at the computer labs of the CMPSCI department at school . This was two to three years before dial-up internet was widely available commercially.

I think it was my older sister showing off her new work laptop.
She played a spelling game called Text Twist on it.

Next was when I got one of my cousin's old work computers.
He replaced all the computers at his business, and my aunt brought one to me and my mom.
It was pretty decent. One of those beige Dells.
It was slow, sure. But I really enjoyed learning to use it.
I could look up the sports scores and not have to wait for the news.

The dial up sound at skool, cuz a lot of pones my age, the skool had the internet before most people did at home. Many pone didn't even have a computer.
