Humble Bundle
How does everyone feel about humble bundle's monthly sub?

I normally don't pause but this month I did for the first time. I liked maybe 2 of the games and I felt both were probably not something I'd be super eager to play. (above the back log)
I have one of the earlier Tropico games and I wasn't really a fan.

I'm lucky enough to be on classic so the price is fair for me. I'd be far less happy only getting 9 of them for double the price I'm paying.

I feel like the over all quality is down. Often there are indie games that feel like they "should" be free or in the Steam $1 section. ( I noticed that two of the games in a previous month were free on itch.io)

Am I wrong? Curious how others feel.

It's been ruined by the new model. Says a lot when the free weekly epic games are better than the entire paid bundle from Humble.

I don't subscribe and see no reason to.

I still like the bundles. The sale prices are hit or miss. I find Humble's 70-80% to be a normal persons 10-15%. The sub has been good a few months. ( I got like 3 games I would have gladdly paid $10 each for just by paying $12 sub.) However months like this when there is maybe 2 A grade not even AA and a bunch of games I wouldn't pay more then $5 for feels like far less of a deal.
I know of sites I can get shovelware for $1 each game, it's more quantity over quality.

I agree with Summa. the old system was better. 6 games, 2 AA or maybe AAA if lucky, 1 ok game, 1 indie or cheaper game and 2 shovels.

I dont do monthly subs.

Humble Bundle I think is the best bundles, compare to PS+ where you get only 2 games, or X-Box where you buy subscription but not games. On Humble Bundle you get 12 games and it is totally yours.

2 games from my wishlist, one already owned, rest range from looking forward to play to "meh". Initially didn't look like a good month, but it grew on me.
And as usual, the extra store discount subsidises the already paltry price (classic).

I'm more annoyed about the Drizzt bundle, selling books 7-33 in the series leaving me to hunt down reasonably priced versions of the first 6.:badidea:

Humble choice sucks, but the standalone bundles are good, I hope we get more unity asset ones.

It's absolutely great. At least for the classic plan I stayed in, but probably the new ones are fine too. $12 for 10 games is a great deal (you can check ITAD comparing it with historic best prices) and what is most important, you can just pause any month you don't like. So you just sign up in a month that suits you and from there it is only subscription in name, in reality you just do indivisual purchase. And you know what you get -- formerly only 2-3 games were revealed, the rest only after you paid up.

Knowing what you'll already get makes it no different from any other bundle.

At least you aren't region restricted. I don't normally read digital comics as I support my local comic book store. However one bundle had Rick and Morty which I'm a big fan of. Except I can't get Rick and Morty in my region. Sigh.

You don't always know though. I mean you know the 12 games. (Initially I thought they were going to do larger groups making the choosing worth while.) When you pick 12/12 it's really collecting not choosing. But twice now they've had a bonus unknown game.

I think $12 for 10 is great right up until 4 of them are free elsewhere and 4 of them would be in the 99 cent bin. Then it's really a question of do you like the other 4? Some bundles I'm pleased by just 1 game. For example the month with Void bastard, I'd have paid $10 for just that game. Other months it's more about the top 2 titles. I've noticed it's been Indie heavy recently though. I get that that's a huge market but not really my thing.

Would be cool if you could pick keys from previous months / years, until used up. I'm a recent sub and some of the stuff from past years looks good. I'm also fine with older games as long as they play on a modern OS. I know some people hate that, but not me.

I pay for 12 months at a time and have been for 2 years now.

If I already have the game, I just either give it away on SteamGifts or I activate it on an alt account. (I have a couple of alt accounts for this same reason).

My main has most games already with a collection of 2,000+ games. Some of the games are good, some aren't... it depends on what kind of games you like. They won't always cater to your liking.

You've been at it for years? Ok so I guess my question is this. If you were to rate the quality over all of the games since the switch over last fall, how would you rate it? Are you as happy so far with the games in 2020 as you were with 2019 or 2018? In theory you are getting more games. Are you getting good games though? Under the old system I felt less was more, not every month had what I liked, but I could see the games were quality titles at least.
Meister Donut 2020 年 10 月 13 日 下午 11:32
Yeah, I'm happy so far with humble choice (premium subscriber since May this year). I own pretty much every tripple A game, so for me it's a good thing that they're focusing more on indie and niche games now. And beside these, you still get at least one tripple A game each month.

+ since August, even premium subscribers can keep all 12 games instead of 9, so I think it's a good deal.

I feel like the majority of them have been uninteresting for around 2 years now.
