Agree.
It was awesome... even though I was young I'll still remember seeing them in movie theaters.
Thankfully I still have original copies on tape that haven't been THXed or CGIed.
The mandalorian, final season of clone wars and films like Rouge one prove that Disney has competent writers that understand Star wars and its fans very well, however they dont have competent management, they where literally rewriting the script during the filming of Rise of Skywalker.
Yep. John Boyega mostly spilled the beans on all of that a little while back.

So, how much do you charge per hour, for speaking on my behalf? Because I don't seem to remember having hired you to do that. Must have been dead drunk when I did, too, since you're not even really good at speaking in my stead because what you say definitely doesn't represent me...
But Rey is definitely a character straight out of a middle schoolers star wars fan fiction.
I am still a big fan of the Original Trilogy. I watch it quite commonly since I still really enjoy them and I own a lot of different versions of the original trilogy along with the despecialized editions on Blu-Ray.
Basically what i'm trying to say is I don't find myself re-watching any of the newer films, if at all. Although i still watch the original films a lot. It might be due to me growing up with them and the large amount of classic Star Wars collectibles that have been passed down from my dad.
Revenge of the Sith I enjoy as well tho.
Star Wars Episode 8: The biggest failure of all time.
The director of this movie only cared about surprising the audience. He put in as many surprises as possible, effectively ruining the plot of this movie.
He also seemed to think that the movie was about presenting personal ideologies, putting in scenes pushing animal rights, etc. I don't have a problem with you believing this stuff; I just have a problem with you putting it in Star Wars. Star Wars is to see lasers, lightsabers, love, and explosions; nothing more!
(SPOILER ALERT!!)
Also, Luke Skywalker projecting himself with the force?! Using light speed to destroy the dreadnought?! Give me a break! For one, crashing into a ship using lightspeed isn't even possible, according to Star Wars rules.
Also, them making Poe Dameron look like a complete idiot in the movie was absolutely ridiculous! It completely looked like she was leading them to certain death. He, being a loyal rebel and looking out for the people, was not going to stand by and watch them all die do to poor leadership. Apparently, she wasn't required to give an explanation as to how she was not leading them to suicide. This, again, was only to add an element of surprise and to push an agenda.
As for episode 9, I thought it was a good comback from episode 8. If they had stuck with the first director for all movies, and best: stuck with George Lucas' script, this could have been a much better trilogy!
The lack of an established clear direction probably was effected by them changing directors in episode 8. Rian Johnson should never be allowed to get his hands on a Star Wars film again!
1st prequel sequels=okay too since they tied up loose ends but underrated overall especially the 1st prequel. Actually well planned out with all the fleshed out lore in games shows and other media
2nd wave and spin off like solo=The force awakens was a good start but thats it. The next couple of movies all literally felt like fan fics. They had no direction.
You got newly introduced characters being wiped off, old not so known ones being given too much screentime, and overall a lack of backstory and telling makes it harder to keep tract.
Like i ♥♥♥♥ you not you'll need to make several shows and all would have to be consistent to make sense of all the ♥♥♥♥ in The last jedi and The rise of skywalker.
The biggest lore killer by god i hate the last 2 installments so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ much for doing this.
The last jedi having a ton of b.s. made no sense plot.
And then the rise of skywalker trying to atone for TLJ and patching stuff up with globs of superglue all over the place.
I'm dead serious they should've stopped at TFA or remade the last 2 sequels. They had a good thing with Kylo and his dark/light side inner battles and Finn vs his commanding officer but discarded it for Rey and her band of misfit "rebels" plus some other characters no one gives a ♥♥♥♥ about or knows about. They forced it. They put too many themes and plots into 1 movie then had the last movie try to make sense of it all.
I hated it tbh. ST takes a big fat ♥♥♥♥ on the characters from the OT and expects the fans to just go along with it. Not only that, but they're just terrible films taken on their own merit as well. I saw very little in the way of redeeming factors.
In conclusion, the ST sucks a big one.
Edit: Rogue One and Solo were okay. I really didn't mind Solo, it's not like Ron Howard is gonna let Disney ruin his reputation - it's actually a decent flick.
