If you are ectomorph/naturally thin then the only way I was able to gain weight was muscle mass (weights). But the problem is that it's hard to put it on weight compared to other body types. Food didn't work for me, I eat like a gremlin and metabolism burns or "exits" it out.
Whey.
Depending on where you live, going to the doctor can be expensive. Since the antibiotics took down the infection, the issue might purely be psychological at this point, if it's true that you feel no hunger.
Do yourself a favor and count calories for 2 or 3 days. I'm not talking some kind of average by doing pseudo calculations. I want you to look on the back of the food you eat and put how much of it you eat on the scale and then determine the amount of calories that food provides you.
Do NOT eat more or less than you have done in the last period of time. If you eat more while counting calories it's going to give you a poor estimate once you stop counting again.
At your weight and height you should eat a bare minimum of 1600 kcal every day, assuming you are mostly sedentary. If you work out or have a relatively physically active job you need more. Anything less and you'll slowly eat up the remainder of your fat deposits and after that your muscle fibre. This is not something to joke around with. Calorie deficiency is a very serious issue, if you do not have plenty of fat to burn.
If you find you eat less than or just around 1600kcal on average every day, you need to force yourself into eating more. Your current goal should be 1900kcal, and once you put on a few kilograms, increase that by 200 again. A bowl of oat meal with milk is like 500kcal. Even half a bowl of oat meal with milk on top of what you are currently eating will help you. Peanut butter is also a great tool for overcoming weight loss. I'll spare you the personal anecdote.
If you find out that you eat plenty more than 1600kcal every day, let's say 2200+ and you are not rapidly putting on weight you HAVE to go see your doctor again as soon as possible cause something is still not right.
Edit: If you on day 1 of counting already can confirm that you are below 1600 you can start eating more the next day. Don't undereat for 2 more days before starting to fix your diet. Also promise me you'll eat a fair share of protein. You need it if you want to reaccumulate your lost strength.
Do you have other symptoms like heart burn or stomach upset? I've had chronic heartburn for so long sometimes I don't notice it unless my appetite is particularly bad. When this happens and I take an antacid my appetite goes back to normal. Don't take an antacid more than every once in awhile unless directed by a doctor. If you feel like you need to take it daily you need to see a doctor.
As far as once you get your appetite sorted out eating a lot of meat and or protein rich foods can help you gain weight in a healthy way. The number one way to maintain a healthy weight would be eating consistently though. Especially if you're not a breakfast person, make sure to at least eat brunch *and lunch* rather than foregoing the first meal altogether. Force yourself to eat. Set timers on your phone for each meal. If you have something else going on that you didn't mention in the post like an eating disorder schedule an appointment with a therapist ASAP and tell them what you said in this post. If you genuinely don't feel like eating there's other things probably going on and I would make a list of all the symptoms you're having even if it seems unrelated. Keep healthy snacks on hand and snack in-between meals.
Some easy/quick foods high in protein:
-peanut/almond butter with coconut oil and any-nut-you-have-in-your-cabinets sandwich
-Chicken sandwich with cheese, lettuce, and mayonnaise
-Eggs. Anything with eggs. Eggs are amazing. Egg sandwiches, hard-boiled eggs with salt, pepper, and or paprika, egg salad, egg salad sandwiches, stirfry, omelets, hell just throw some eggs in a pan with cheese and other things you like.
Also, eat cheeseburgers, but replace the buns with doughnuts.
Then have pizza for dessert.
You could ask to see a specialist. A Gastroenterologist would know how to proceed.
You might need more tests to see if your system is fully recovered.
