Lidl Job Posting Application Submission Status?
So I submitted an application with Lidl for Store Associate. When I went to my profile to check the status, it immediately showed "Removed From Consideration" despite me applying a minute earlier. Did their computer/program whatever scan my resume and application that quickly and immediately determined me to be ineligible?

Could be? Could be the position was filled immediately after you submitted your application. Their application software could have a parameter that automatically declines certain applications under certain circumstances (i.e. Automatically decline all applications with 1 year or less work experience, automatically decline all applications without cashier experience, automatically decline applications with criminal history, etc., etc.).

Yeah, I unfortunately do not have much if at all work experience in retail (I have 8 years of work experience in general but not cashier or retail, only a few days as a bus boy). I'm guessing reapplying at another store for the same position won't work, especially if they use the same algorithm/software for all positions at all locations.
If they flagged your application, any new application will also be auto flagged.

It is usually due to the questionnaire and not responding correctly to too many of the questions.

That too! Forgot about that part. Questions like: "If you knew a friend was stealing, would you tell a manager?" and that kind of stuff.
Those are hilarious questions. I found out my friend was getting auto rejected by every company because he kept on answering them as if they were jokes.

3 years and still at home, jobless.

Really?!? Yeah they tend to be pretty obvious, but I have noticed that some companies HR departments have gotten a little more creative with the questions. They've found ways to ask the same question twice or integrating knowledge from the job into the questions so they can root out individuals who may not be qualified.

I can tell. I've been working for the past 8 years at the same business, but I had to resign because I moved, so I don't much experience filling out job applications as I never had to up until this point.

I figured my resume sooner got them to deny me because it's mostly tailored to my dance career that I wanna start, and I only wanted this job for part-time to earn some money while I'm training. I still have my previous job and volunteer work in my resume though, but I guess being a "Legal Clerk" and "Worked with Kids" doesn't mean anything to a supermarket.
Always available all 7 days and always every hour of the day. And you will be willing to work over time.

Retail isn't that hard to get into, even without any job ex.

Yeah pretty much^^ Unfortunately no way you can really know what parameters they are looking for. I mean you can guess a reasonable salary based off other positions but say they need someone to work Sunday morning and you're able to work every other day BUT Sunday morning. Boom auto rejected.

For those types of questions, I usually do a reasonable salary amount based competitive rates and just say that I can work every day (even if I can't). For the question about how you found out about the job, I usually just type "internet ad" or something similar, but I think you'd get a higher chance of acceptance if you knew someone at the job.

That's literally how I had my previous job. My mom worked there so the boss naturally gave me the job as a favor. The adage "it's not what you know, but who you know" still applies today.

I absolutely love automated employee filtering for this very reason.
