Every mmorpg suffers the same problem
They are very repetitive and grindy.New world has some good concepts but you are doing the same stuff over and over again.I’m wondering if there will be a mmo one day which is a bit more innovative

i wish mmorpgs didnt powercreep and have more end game item options rather than 1 specific weapon, 1 specific armor set that is the absolute best at everything

Yeah. I'm hoping there will be an MMO based on life and let you do whatever. Kinda like free realms where you're free to do whatever you want. Good times...

Those are "for stubborn people" kind of games.

You just described every game there is pretty much, not just MMOs.

Yeah if you have higher standards you probably dont enjoy mmorpgs that much at least the current ones and every single one of them is extrem grindy thats why i prefer single player games

The amount of time and work it would take to create the perfect MMORPG is insane. There’s just no way to create thousands of hours of unique quests and build it into a world. That’s why all MMOs suffer from the same blandness.

The only way MMOs can really differentiate themselves is in their combat. I still haven’t found an MMO with skills that pop like WoW (even though it’s game engine is out of date)
Give New World a year or two, it'll likely have more to do by then. Expansive endgames aren't built in a day.

Mmorpgs are suppose to be grindy. Like single player rpgs are grindy.

Tell me, which game isn't grindy and repetitive? Every game is grindy; you just have to choose which grindy game you enjoy more. Some people like to be grindy with CSGO, just point and click at the enemies' hitbox with the mouse cursor for example.

What matters isn't how grindy it is, but how fun it is while you grind.

Nah, I've played plenty of games you can 100% in under ten hours, and several you can in under an hour.

Some of the best games ever have speedruns under 10 minutes.

No your games are grindy because you only play games like that

Secret World tried to, but people cried for mmo clones

Mmorpgs are suppose to be grindy. Like single player rpgs are grindy.

most single player RPG have a good balance between grind and progression since there are no incentive to keep you glued to the game as long as possible.

lot's of mmo have that feeling that everything is locked away until you're X level which is terrible.

This is just basic common sense really. If you think a game you pay for once is ever going to come close to the repetition and grind of a game you pay more for the longer you play, you clearly just don't know how business works.
