Uh what?
Whose idea was that?
Eggs are meat.
Skipping broccoli is the answer.

I forgot about this "ovo-vegetarian" thing.
Feels kind of like going 4/5 of the way and not finishing the race but... okay.
why did you feel bad for me?
You post came across as a rather unwelcome attempt to educate me on something I already know enough about. I do not ask of you to care for my past just using that as emphasis that I do know what it means to be a vegan and vegetarian both.
But if you want to brand me as a teeth gnashing war tribe preacher
It may interest you to know I do not care if others eat meat, I strongly suggest not doing so as to me its an unnecessary and cruel waste of life and I shall support not consuming products from such cruel industries, thus I promote veganism and both its moral and health benefits.
When my beliefs are called into question such as on this thread many times been called "insane" "a cult" "weird" etc, should I not stand up for myself?
but if you still want to see me as a war monger go ahead.
"Eat anything you want."
so I just say it like this :
Vegan is not a slang word for some TYPE of Vegetarian... Vegan is the slang word for Veganist.
you have veganism.. and vegetarianism.. two different TYPES of isms...
**a Pescotarian is a person that does eat fish and dairy but not meat.
**a Vegetarian is a person that does not eat meat or fish.. but does eat dairy.
-->both can or can not eat insects...
**a Veganist (also called a Vegan in slang) is a person that does not eat any product that is sourced from annimals
-> so also no insects, dairy or eggs.
**a Pacifarian goes beyond that.. and also does not eat any product that does kill plants... so yes to say spinach.. you can rip that leaf off and the plant will live.. but no to say a carrot.. that kills the plant at harvest...
**a Herbarian go even further.. they also not want to hurt plants... they will eat basicly only certain types of grains (since the plant is dead by is natural life cycle as those are harvested) fruits and nuts...
**a fruitarian is the most radical.. they also not want to eat what could potentially become a new life.. so no eating of seeds and nuts either.. only that what nature gives freely.. fruit.. is ok to eat..
I checked out the website you linked to: mediabiasfactcheck and their rating is a little strange. PETA is trying to save the animals by any means possible. Their rhetoric is acceptable to their mission. Sometimes you have to shock people (using ads or whatever) to wake them up to the animal cruelty in the world. I wouldn't necessarily label PETA like the website did. There's nothing inherently politically charged (one way or another) about saving animals.
